When I have a "sugar crash" I immediately look for something sweet
And when I have a "creative slump" I look for inspiration in wandering among works from the world
This time I encountered a combination of the two phenomena:
Print number 1:
"Sweet Kill" campaign against type 2 diabetes created by Nattakong Jaengsem for the Diabetes Association of Thailand.
The creative ads shows the dangerous side of sugar In order to raise awareness of the dangers that sugar poses to our health, the Diabetes Association of Thailand invited Thai designer Nattakong Jaengsem to come up with a campaign that would encourage the public to reduce their sugar consumption.
We all know that sugar is bad for us, but we often only think about the negative impact it has on our teeth and weight. But too much sugar in our diet can also cause type 2 diabetes, which dramatically reduces the body's ability to heal and can lead to cuts and wounds that can become infected and even cause amputation.
The campaign, titled "Sweet Kill," aims to show us what type 2 diabetes can do, by reversing diabetes-related injuries using the thing that causes them: sweets. The resulting images may be difficult to look at, but one thing is for sure: they will surely make you think twice about reaching for the sugar bowl.
Those who are familiar with the field of Visual Art and Art Directing, surely know the amazing works that come from the Bangkok sector and the following series is one of them:
